August 2009
This website has been getting a lot of increased traffic recently for some reason, so I figured I should put up an update. This summer has been one of the best of my life; the performances in Ireland went great, and when I came home some friends and I started the silly band Riley Silence. Then it was off to MOC NY, which was even more incredible than past years.
I’ll be back in New York soon, and in addition to occasional gigs, I’m starting a new recording project that will ultimately replace the two albums I have now. Let’s face it, that recording of “Soldier’s Lullaby” from two and half years ago could use some updating. This album will be longer than the previous two, with re-recorded versions of old songs alongside new rock & jazz tunes written over the past year - all recorded at the highest quality I can possibly muster.
I expect this project to take many months to complete, so if you care at all, sign up for the mailing list in the column to the left for special demos/previews of the new tracks as they’re created over the coming months. Thanks for the continued support!

Recording has been going quite well the past few months, and today two unmastered but relatively finished tracks from the new album are available for your listening pleasure! The first is the updated recording of “Intercosm,” and the second is the first track off the album and the third movement of a 3-part suite. You can hear them in the music player thingy in the upper-left hand side of this page, and everyone on the mailing list will get a special download link. Sign up for the mailing list on the left box of this page if you care.
Also released today was the name of the album and a preview of the album art, which you probably just saw considering you had to click on it to get here. But it’s also below in case you forgot what it looks like:

Also, here’s the tracklist:
1. Work in Progress, 3rd Movement - Riverside Park
2. Ennistymon
3. Intercosm
4. Evolution
5. Soldier's Lullaby
6. [don’t have a name for this one yet]
7. Work in Progress, 2nd Movement - Into the City
8. Bomb Art (EMW)
9. Her (Vinyl)
10. Neoclassical
11. Voodoo Noodle
12. Living History
13. Windsor Nights Light Percussion
14.Work in Progress, 1st Movement - Last Act (Live)
It’s a mix of old stuff and new stuff, and is a mix of jazz/contemporary classical/psychedelic rock. Those of you who are very clever and observant might notice there are fourteen tracks and fourteen pictures in the album art; each picture relates to a song in some way. Some are more obvious than others, but it provides a visual to go with the instrumental.
I’ll probably release a couple more tracks before the 2010 release date, and if you want in on that, sign up for the mailing list on the side of the page. This album will more or less mark the start of my actual career, and I appreciate all of your continued support.
I’m also playing a few gigs in the next couple of months, though not many due to the time-consuming recording process. Check the shows page for that. Enjoy the music!
